“MPC60 ii in great shape! The improved version of the first ever Akai MPC. Designed by Roger Linn, the godfather of drum machines. I also have an MPC 1000 and what you’ve heard is true: the older machines, designed by Linn and made in Japan, have much better punch, fatness and pads than the newer models If you are looking to make 90s boom bap (this is the same model which DJ Premier has been making hits on for three decades) or just want fat drums and the famous Linn swing, this is the drum machine for you!
This unit has max memory (26.2 seconds), a Gotek floppy emulator (which lets you store virtually unlimited data as opposed to shuffling through floppies), a new backlight, and is updated to the 3.10 OS (which gives you a lot of the functions of the MPC 3000 including making stereo samples, longer sampling time and the ability to use the slider to change tuning, attack, etc on the fly).
The MPC looks clean and would be mint if not for some small scratches on the main panel (under pads and next to Play Start button, see photos for details.) Everything functions on this MPC except the “9” key on the numeric pad. This is not really an issue as you can just use the rotary knob to change any number. ” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
