The original Akai MPC 60
This is an unfinished customization project that used to be fully functional.
Features:
Custom black paint job frame/housing.
Custom black padded armrest
This MPC needs repair so may be a deal for the techies out there.
It does appear to boot up but it does not display anything onscreen.
This is most likely due to a failing component (possibly resistor) on the top main board.
You will need to check the service manual and MPC forums, I cannot offer any assistance – SOLD AS IS.
Once you get this unit repaired, just add some wood side panels, a SCSI board and SD card kit (all available on ebay),
this will be one bad ass looking MPC when its assembled and complete.
Although it used to work fine, over time parts do degrade and can fail.
Everything else is intact and seems to work .
Working parts include:
Power Supply
LCD display
Backlight + Inverter
Pads, Buttons and Knobs
All these parts appears to be functional.
Note that the rotary encoder dial/pot is untested so unsure if that is working ok or not.
No longer have a tech shop so cannot test / troubleshoot therefore you are buying this for parts or repair only!
There is NO SCSI kit / board – I do not have.
Unsure what OS is currently installed, but its either 3.10e or 3.15.
Missing Parts:
No disk Drive
No side panels
No bottom feet”
