Up for sale is an Akai MPC 200XL. I purchased this almost 2 years ago and just kept it around as a spare in case my main XL went haywire. Getting rid of it now because it’s just sitting around collecting dust because I have a bunch of other MPCs.
This unit has a floppy drive installed and I do not have any to include. I recommend upgrading the internal drive to a ZIP drive or grabbing an external SCSI drive of some sort.
To my knowledge there are no real issues. Pads 13 -16 are tricky. I just think it needs to be opened up and have the sensors wiped with a little alcohol. They otherwise function as they should.
The buttons are tactile and functional.
I believe the slider does work, but is just missing the actual fader/knob.
And rather importantly, there are no lines…I repeat NO LINES of dead pixels in the screen as you can see in the pictures.
