“Selling my AKAI MPC 2000 with Instruction manual, Floppy discs & Cables.
Was bought in 2000 off a mate, who had bought it new but didn’t get on with it. Barely used it…
It came with the original manual, cables and OS disk plus some sample kit floppys . Numpty had chucked the box so unfortunately I didn’t get that too.
However it has lived in a box, indoors and unused since then. Just never got round to using it and then I moved on to using Ableton. So it stayed in the box.
As you can see from the pictures, the MPC turns on, and loads the OS and sample discs.
I made a shamefully horrendous looping beat to test the buttons.
The LCD screen is bright, clear and functioning.
The back plate is in excellent condition because it hasn’t been battered like some you see on here.
The body and buttons are also in excellent condition but the MPC is showing it age with some minor scratches, scuffs and discoloration (It’s over 20 years old..)
I just gave it a quick once-over, all seems to work well and the outputs sound OK, but if there are issues present then know that you are bidding knowing this maybe the case.
I really hope this excellent and well looked after example of music production history goes to a loving home, gets upgraded and more importantly, used.
