“This is probably one of the best condition MPC 1000’s that you’ll find – I’ll let the photos do most of the talking. Please zoom in on the photos to check condition fully. I have taken lots of detailed shots to show the great condition of this unit.
The MPC has maxed out memory at 128MB (See screenshot)
The MPC comes with JJOS2XL installed (See screenshot) this is the paid for version that costs around £100. When looking at other MPC’s ask if it’s the free or paid version they have.
This MPC 1000 BK came with the updated Akai pads with Sensitronic FSRs better sensor technology. (Blue casing MPC’s and some of the black MPC’s don’t come fitted with these pads – The way to test is to wiggle one of the bottom right pads, if the other pads around it move then this is the newer pads).
Comes with original box – that’s still in decent condition too. The sticker on the box states that this MPC1000 BK was purchased from ‘Hard To Find Records’ in 2012.
Also included in the sale is a CF Card reader and three CF Cards.
1 x 4GB Card
1 x 128MB Akai branded card
1 x 16GB Card that I recently bought. As a bonus for the buyer I will chuck loads of drum samples onto this card 😉
Original Quickstart Manual for the Akai OS included and Original Power Cable.
You’ll find that the larger cards are slower sometimes to read/write – it’s a small trade-off for the huge storage size. The standard Akai OS only allows up to 4GB cards I believe but the JJOS2XL is up to any size.
The LCD is flawless, the sides perfect. The backplate is in perfect condition – there’s no scratches from where plugs have been tried to be plugged-in and missed and sratched around. The underneath is completely flawless too (very rare!). The top faceplate has one tiny scratch and a little line through the text saying ‘STEP EDIT’ on pad 14. These have been highlighted in the photos.
This device has been treated very very well. When I was looking for an MPC1000 I searched far and wide to find one in this condition. The intention was to pimp it out to the max I decided not to as it looked too damn good as it was.
Side note: If you buy this device and are looking for a set of MPCStuff thick grey pads I can point you in the direction of someone in the UK selling them for £35 so you don’t get hit with customs charges ordering them from the states.
Will be sad to see this go. Reason for sale is that we have a new baby in the house so I have no spare time, certainly not enough to dedicate to learning JJOSX2L and the 1000 inside out. If it doesn’t sell then I probably will keep it but pack it away to preserve it’s condition and make it even more desireable in the future ;)”
