“Hello, this auction is for the black version of the Akai MPC 1000 sampler/sequencer. It also has the black rear faceplate which I believe makes it the most recent version they made? It works pretty great with a few minor issues – one plastic button cap is broken (the undo seq) but the button still works. There’s a YouTube video demonstrating an easy fix for these buttons; it’s also cheap to buy new ones. A couple of the other buttons (left and right cursor, I believe that’s it) are hard to push but they still work too. This is usually because of an issue with the tact switches. I’m including a bag of 10 tact switches that I never got around to installing, which should fix this problem. There are tutorials online telling you how to replace them and it seems pretty easy if you know some soldering basics. Aside from this the machine works great. I used it mainly for sequencing so I wasn’t ever banging on the pads – they all work normal. This unit has some light scuffs and scratches here and there and some light marks on the pads but nothing too major. I’ve used it for a year and a half and have never had any issues with it besides what I’ve mentioned above. Also included is a USB cable to connect to your computer, and the free version of JJOS is installed on the machine (you can switch back to the Akai OS if you like but make sure to Google the instructions how). The MPC 1000 is a modern classic for a reason…time to find out why!” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
