“MPC-1000 with 128mb CF card, hard drive installed. JJ OS Ver 3.08 installed. If you know about this unit — this is the version with the “good” MPC pads.
The unit itself is in reasonable physical condition besides a few scratches on the case (see photos). Screen is nice and bright. Basic functionality, sampling, playback, MIDI sync, buttons and controls work. HOWEVER there is an internal issue which sometimes causes the pads to trigger bursts, or very rapidly trigger by themselves. It’s a crazy, ghost in the machine situation. I am no electronics guru, and I don’t understand why this happens. I tried replacing the pad control board with a new one from mpcstuff.com (~$75 value), but that didn’t fully resolve the issue. I will include the old board as well in the sale. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS ISSUE BEFORE YOU BID! I paid full market price for this, but I am selling it well under market value due to the trigger issue. The previous ebay seller did not inform me of this issue before I bought it.”
