Additionally, the pads are stock pads and a couple of them are rather stiff, so you’ll probably want to upgrade. Runs JJOS Ver3.16 (aka Free JJOS, most MPC1000 users upgrade to paid JJOS). Also worth mentioning, the couple of times I’ve mounted this machine on my Mac running OS X has required rebooting the computer multiple times, something other MPC1000 owners have had to do if you look online. I’d highly recommend putting sounds on your memory card (none included in this deal) through a portable flash card reader instead of mounting the machine on your computer. All in all, you’re getting a working sampler with a lot of untapped potential that requires minimal effort in upgrading. Spending a total of $200 on new pads and side panels (which you can do easily at mpcstuff.com) as well as upgraded JJOS would give you an MPC that most people would be selling for $700+ instead of a $500 total.
