Akai MPC 1000 with 128MB RAM

I don’t sell much on eBay. I quit my job last year to take care of a sick relative not realizing Covid was going to wipe out the economy just as I was trying to get back to work. It’s time to sell some gear.

This comes from my home studio. I upgraded the pads and sensors. I installed all JJOS licenses except the one for the big screen. The most current version of JJOS2XL is currently installed. The RAM was already maxed out. It has a 4 GB Compact Flash card.

The only quirk with this machine is that sometimes if I don’t press the “Main” button firmly I have to press it twice. The solder joint looks solid. Maybe some contact cleaner could go in the button if it bothered you. Maybe you won’t press it so wimpy and never notice at all. It never bothered me enough to do anything about it. I just occasionally had to press it twice. That is the only quirk I have noticed on this machine and I have used every single button. This is a very clean machine, especially for its age.”

“Akai S900,has a brand new oled light,I have tried to take a picture to show you the screen but it’s so bright and clear it will not let me take a proper one of the lettering,but it is crystal clear,version 1.2;floppy drive works as does everything else,in very nice condition for its age,the only thing missing as I have shown in the pictures is the volume/pan buttons,but these can bought cheap on eBay.Will be packed very well for shipping,there is no library with this,but I will insert an empty floppy disk in the drive for transport purposes,so the drive does not get damaged in transit.Will include the kettle lead,I may need to remove the rack ears so they do not get damaged,but the ears and screws will packaged in the box with the sampler.”

Akai MPC 60II

This MPC is in great condition cosmetically and was well cared for.

I had the screen replaced so it was brighter, HOWEVER:

After a few months, it stopped showing the screen when turned on. Normally when you turn on these, you are taken to the initial screen. This seems to boot up, bur the display shows nothing. It belonged to a producer that made classic rap records on this unit.

Im pretty sure it is an easy fix, but i no longer have the time to have to work on it.

Its a beautiful unit.
