“Up for auction is a used akai mpc 1000 sampler/sequencer. This unit includes the upgraded 128 mb of on board memory, along with blue mpc stuff upgraded pads, which give it the feel of the older mpcs, and the jj os 2 operating system. The unit is functional, but please note that the “note repeat” button doesn’t work. You can certainly work around it, and if you definitely want that feature these things can be easily repaired. Also, the up and right cursor buttons are a little sticky. They work but you have to press them down harder than the others. “This MPC has the old style pads and some of them do not work. The pads will need to be upgraded to the newer style pads. Other than that, this mpc1000 is very clean and functional. It’s a base model with no mods.”

For sale is a good condition AKAI S20.. the poor-man’s MPC. Surprisingly useful machine with just enough basics to get great results. This unit is fully upgraded to 16MB of RAM and comes with a compatible PSU.
It is in fine working order with the original FDD but no disks. Several minor nicks and blemishes on surface, but all buttons and knobs are intact.
