“This MPC 1000 is in very good physical condition and mostly functional but is being sold as parts or not working because of some issues. The pads are triggering multiple times with each hit most of the time. There is also some static on the main and headphone outputs. It is possible that other issues might arise, but these are the only problems I have detected. It is being sold as-is with no returns.

” The Akai S01 is the simplest hardware sampler that Akai ever made. It came out around the time of the S3000, although there is nothing quite like it for simplicity or ease of use.
Perfect for anyone looking for a no-frills, hardware sampler with that legendary Akai sound quality.
The eight trigger buttons on the front correspond to each of the 8 samples, and are used to trigger them. The left/right, up/down matrix is extremely easy to use, and the value for each parameter is adjusted using the infinity data wheel. The value is displayed via a three-figure LED, which is working perfectly. You can probably figure out how to use the sampler just by looking at the photos.
You can truncate samples, transpose, loop, and even reverse them. The S01 features two MIDI inputs, which can be switched with a switch on the front panel. There’s one mono sample input, one mono output (front or back optional) and one headphone output on the front panel. Playback and sampling can be controlled with an additional foot-switch.

“Selling an Akai mpc 2000xl. Classic production machine for all genres of music. In good cosmetic and working condition. For it’s age and use, I’d say it’s better than fair shape and I’m not the original owner. The only flaw to this machine is that the jog wheel rubs slightly against the metal casing when turning, but does not affect operation and functionality of the unit. This could be simple tweak to fix or $20-$30 to replace altogether. All buttons, knobs, slider and pads work. The screen is in excellent shape with no lines or fading.
