“Akai MPC-2000XL – Including CF-Card Reader & Fat Pads & Beat Making MPC2000XL tutorial
The MPC-2000XL is good conditions, with only a few minor signs of use (after all, the unit was manufactured in the 1990s). The floppy drive was replaced with a CF-card reader (hot-swappable), so it’s quite simple to load samples (in WAV format) from a computer, onto the 1GB card (which I am also including in this auction). Considering the inexpensive price of RAM, it goes without saying that the memory has been expanded and is maxxed out at 32MB 🙂
I’ve also replaced the original pads with Thick Fat Pads (black) from MPC-Stuff. They tremendously increase the sensitivity and playing pleasure of the MPC.
Also, pre-loaded onto the CF-card, I have included a commercially available tutorial series, called “Beat Making MPC2000XL.” The series originally costs 39 €, and is an excellent source of inspirational and educational information.
