“MPC 3000 with new LCD screen. Workstation for sequencing external synths and drum samples. ONLY one flaw both inputs do work but for some weird reason I can’t get both to record in stereo I always recorded in mono since I just made hip-hop beats and was not a big issue for me. But both inputs do work just not in stereo recording just mono left/mono right as individual inputs. Selling as is, everything else works perfectly fine. Excellent low pass filter, has custom vailixi 3.5 O.S so you can chop/edit samples while the sequencer is playing. It has scsi2sd upgrade aswell which is an SD card that acts as a SCSI drive so you do not have to deal with any floppy disks or zip disks, you can save everything internally and then transfer it over to your laptop for backup by ejecting the SD card. “AKAI MPC 60 MkII in overall good condition. I waited a while before I pulled the trigger on this particular unit & it performed flawlessly on my last project. To my ears, it is the best sounding sampler in the infamous Akai family tree… yes better than the 3000.
SPECS:
New backlight + tactical switches (for buttons that needed it) put in last October

Stereo out + 8 outputs, pads and buttons all function properly (some buttons will need to be pressed slightly harder than others, it is from 1991..)
Record In works perfectly on low / med. settings however there is a strange grounding issue when it is turned on high. I found absolutely no need to use it passed med, using it on low most of the time. There is plenty of gain before things start saturating and distorting and when you hit that sweet spot… it is a beautiful thing. Gain staging with rec. level in / source volume is everything with the MPC 60.
I have gone through and cleaned thoroughly including dusting inside with compressed air, washing of pads / frame and complete wipe down. Fader moves freely for the most part, just a tad dodgy. Overall this unit is good cosmetic condition with minor chips / scuffing around the unit. ” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
