“This auction is for one vintage 1992 Akai SO-1 MIDI Digital Sampler rack project. This auction is for the one Akai SO-1 sampler and power cord in the pictures only. This sampler came from a music store in Montgomery, Alabama that recently went out of business after 60+ years. This sampler was part of a large lot of gear that I purchased for the drums that were mixed in with it. I have no way to test this unit. It does power on, but no other functions have been tested. “Selling an upgraded Akai SO1/S01 Rackmount Sampler unit. Very nice condition for it’s age and fully working order. This is the standard 1MB version and does not have the rare EMX001 ram expansion.
(It did have one but it was sold separately last year to a hen that needed it’s teeth back). 😀

– Old floppy drive now removed and fitted with high-end USB Floppy Drive Emulator & 16GB key by cpmagneticmedia ltd.

– Large sound library included with floppy emulator on the 16gb usb key.. (over 400 sample disk images, & 1,000 blanks for your own use).

Perfect working order, Nice condition with ‘original Box’ & Manuals, all tactile buttons and rotary controller work perfectly. You will be very hard pushed to fine one of these in such fantastic condition.

A few miniscule scratches on the unit but again it is fully working.”
