Akai MPC 60

“I’ve had the MPC60 for little less than 2 years. Goes without saying that this is the MK1, the Original Roger Linn metal finish first edition. Selling it because looking to free up funds for other studio equipment.

The sampler has a new screen, updated OS to 3.15 and SCSI board. By installing the new OS, the recording time upgraded from 13 to 26 seconds. The side panels are also included.

As a standard, it comes with 8 outputs plus additional 2 mono outputs. Rec Input with 4x MIDI In/Out. It has inputs for pedals, also. Besides the fact that is missing the slider knob the Sampler is sturdier than ever. Since of its age, some of the buttons have faded color. I also have the original MPC60 retail box with pictures of the MPC on it. The box is so rare you can’t even find a picture of it online.

The power cable comes factory attached to the MPC 60 and I will include the 100mb Zip Drive with the already formatted disk and the power & SCSI cable for the Zip Drive.

“Compared to all other Akai MPC 60’s you will find on Ebay, this unit is in impeccable condition. Apart from slight wear around the central knob, this unit has been maintained in a smoke free and virtually dust free environment, and shows almost no sign of cosmetic wear. The main screen LED is bright, crisp, and clear, and all small LEDs are functioning as expected. I clean this unit frequently and have used it consistently with no issues for the past four years. This MPC has been upgraded to the most recent software v 3.10 and is SCSI (Zip) Compatible.

I am moving overseas next year and cannot afford to bring this with me, but would really like to find it a good home where it will be put to good use. If you would like more specific photos of any part of the unit I am more than willing to send them upon request. I can also send a short video of the unit playing a sample if needed to prove the quality of this MPC.”

“Fully functioning akai mpc 60ii in good condition! No scsi but everything including floppy drive works!! Comes with a floppy with a few sounds to test right away:). There is a few missing screws, scsi plate(that covers the area where scsi goes) and light writing and I mean very light writhing in bottom. No slider knob but it still functions! Nothing major at all!! Unit looks great for its age and works flawlessly which is pretty rare for a unit at this age:). What you see is what you get! Fully tested and recorded for our protection.
