Very slight paint wear to rear top edge, letters wearing around data wheel. The 3000 is mounted to a rack tray by the pre-existing foot-mounting holes- great care was taken to ensure that the unit stay as original as possible. The rack tilts forward about 30 degrees, and this, combined with the angled screen, allows quick and easy operation of the MPC 3000, despite the dimming back-light.
I had it in storage for a time, but have been using it pretty consistently for about a month, and have found that about 3 of the buttons dont take well to being struck like sample pads anymore, but WILL trigger every time if you come down on them slowly, but with deliberate pressure. It wasnt long before i noticed that the screen is no longer visible in dim lighting, so i ordered a new back-light. I am including it for free with the 3000, but i havent needed to change it yet (instead, adjusting studio lighting and arrangement), and im not really motivated to crack open such an exquisite machine; however, that may change- depending on how long it takes for this listing to sell. ” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
“Classic and Vintage Probably the best MPC ever made MPC 3000 Roger Linn This MPC needs a new backlit the Screen shows good But as you can see the (Backlit needs to be Replaced). other than that machine works great still has the original classic 3000 sound some signs of wear bumps and bruises after all the unit is 20 years old. No disk included Mpc unit only.”
