“She’s been good to me, but there’s a few issues I’m gonna leave to some way more electronically-inclined to fix.
THE GOOD:
Excellent factory stock MPC 2500. Classic sampler.
Totally refurbished F-control PCB board with new tact switches.
Good cosmetic shape.
Pads all work, sliders work, most every button does it’s thang (see below).
Sounds like an MPC.
Includes original instruction manuals and power cord.
THE BAD:
F4-F6 DO NOT WORK. I replaced the switches and got new solders and everything, but still they do not function. F1-F3 work fine, so go figure. Maybe you can get it to work (there are a lot of forum topics about this exact problem).
Some minor scuffs on front.
A couple of buttons and jog wheel are wonky, because…
THE UGLY:
Here’s the rub: crack in the main PCB board by the jog wheel. Will likely need to be replaced to get it running at full capacity. They cost about $130 from mpcstuff.com and it’s all pretty much a matter of unplugging ribbons and replacing buttons.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a WORKING UNIT. The problems and fixes are just too much for me, though, so you get it at a steal. ” Click here to search for MPCs on eBay
