“his unit is CLEAN and 100% working condition, properly inspected and fully serviced, everything works as it should.
This awesome Akai MPC 2000XL w/maxed RAM installed has been professionally serviced with brand new tact switches (no need to press hard or press several times), brand new jog wheel and fader slider posts, so basically you have a brand new boards here… also it was cleaned inside and outside completely, LCD display is bright and clear with no lines or dead pixels.
NOTE: unit takes 8 seconds to show main screen when booting due we are using a modified screen on this unit but this won’t affect item functioning at all, we are just mentioning this detail to provide the best description as possible.
This unit was customized inspired on the iconic Roland TR-808 with:
Brand new FAT/THICK 4 color pads (red, orange, yellow, white)
Brand new black Fader Slider Knob
Brand new black transport and control buttons
Brand new black Volume and Rec Gain Knobs
Brand new grey Cursor Arrow
32MB RAM (for max sampling time)
Dark grey front plastic panel (hard to find)
All the LEDs has been replaced for this beautiful bright RED LEDs (instead of those outdated green LEDs).
CF card drive (non hot-swappable) with 1GB CF card included loaded drum kits and a power cable to help you start making beats just out of the box!

This is a used unit and being almost 20 years old (the Akai MPC2000XL was released in 1999!) you can expect some signs of wear like small scratches/dents but all that is just cosmetic and it is expected in a unit this old, however as stated before everything was replaced inside so it is working as new.

It has every upgrade possible: 32mb RAM, 1gb CF card reader drive, effects board, 8 outs, and a 250gb external ZIP drive. Also included: 12′ color coded 8 outs cable 1/4″ to 1/4″, one pair of 12′ 1’/4″ ‘to 1/4″ cables, and (2) 15’ midi cables. Ready to plug into your studios 8 input interface for multi-tracking. Also included is a Pete Rock drum kit ZIP disk. I’ll also throw in a 1gb CF card and a 250gb ZIP disk.”

This unit is, considering its age, in very good cosmetic condition. Unfortunately it has a few minor faults and requires a professional service or purchasing by someone who knows what they’re doing with these bits of kit.
Known faults;
– Note variation fader not working.
– Audio outs are crackly
– F5 button not working
