I have pluged it in, powered it up and played with the preset sounds through the RCA outputs.
Beyond that I can not speak to the full functionality, I don’t know much about samplers and haven’t gone through to check all its functions.

I have done a pad upgrade on this device. That involved placing below each of the pads that increases the responsiveness and velocity sensitivity all the way to the edges of the pads. Simply meaning the MPC 1000 performs better and plays better.

This comes with a 1GB CF card inserted.

NOTE: The only problem with this device is the Compact Flash Eject button does not work properly so when you push it in you have to take off the top and front covers to be able to pull it back out again. This shouldn’t be an issue because you transfer over your samples through USB and not through swapping Compact Flash Cards.
