“Every ‘tact’ the mechanical switch you press when you push a button has been replaced – that is 25 tacts, requiring soldering skills and desolder equipment. The tacts have been replaced with Japanese Alps 1million (before failure, vs 5000 presses before failure) press tacts with a much better feel; you press with less force and get a sharper feedback. No other Mpc2000xl presently listed on ebay has had this treatment so should you buy another unit expect stuck buttons, having to press buttons repeatedly.

The inside has just been professionally refurbished, including all the button contacts replaced with brand new quality components, and new back-lit screen. So it’s perfect working condition, workshop tested.
