Akai MPC 1000

“**AKAI MPC 1000**

2003, Vintage, Iconic

Very well-known brand and model which is popular in internet forums, discussion board conversations, tutorials, and has user manuals available online.

Used, but imperfect condition

Includes the power cable

Ships wrapped in bubble wrap, secured in a sturdy package.

The Undo Seq button works but is a little loose/out of position. It can be repositioned and used without replacing the button or removing the cover. That said, it’s the Undo Seq button, which is relatively insignificant. You can keep it how it is, remove the cover and inspect the button, or choose to replace it.

It still clicks and works, but sometimes is slightly misaligned compared to its default position.

Button replacement is a fairly common occurrence on these devices. Buttons can be found online.

If you’d like to adjust or replace that button, it can be done pretty easily with a Phillips head screwdriver and/or by placing an order. The button is less than $10 plus shipping. If you check YouTube, you can find a tutorial, but it’s pretty much as easy as removing 9 screws, 2 sliders, lifting the cover, and adjusting or swapping out the button, which simply clips in and out of place once the cover is off. The cover has a slight lip on the front side, but this is not a difficult task.

I had a career change and haven’t been using the MPC 1000. It is still a prestigious, iconic, and versatile piece to which many music producers attest.

I priced it a little lower because of the button and to encourage more bidders to get involved. ” Click here to visit listing on eBay

Akai MPC 2000 Part Machine

“You’re looking at a mpg 2000 without a display and main outer chassis

Main board and control work perfectly. The only issue I have is setting up a floppy drive that’s made for this MPC. Really easy for someone that knows. Will include rubber pads” Click here to visit listing on eBay

Akai MPC 5000 with 192MB RAM

“For UK sale only. AKAI MPC 5000 Professional Music Production Centre, sampler – sequencer. Has served me faithfully in the studio for the last few years. This machine is in good working order and comes with original boxes. To note: All pads are in good condition, however pad 11 of 16 is not triggering (may be simple fix) so I have priced accordingly. It samples and sequences as it should and all midi functions work correctly. With all 10 outputs (including stereo outs) working correctly this machine is ideal for song creation and would suit a professional or home studio. Included in sale: AKAI MPC 5000, power lead and original boxes. I don’t have the manual but this is available online.” Click here to visit listing on eBay

“Akai Professional Digital Sampler S01 made in Japan

Others on ebay boast a Gotek floppy emulator, but what’s the point when there’s 2 mb ram?
Yes, 2 (TWO) mb RAM to go with 2 (TWO) midi ins – crazy! That’s like Z8 or an S5000, well, sort of πŸ˜‰
You won’t find another with 2mb πŸ™‚
Even has all 5 screws!” Click here to visit listing on eBay

Akai MPC 2500 with 80GB HD

“the 2500 is i think the last of the classics. the 5000’s way better than it’s reputation but it’s kind of bloated and the synth’s terrible. i’ve had a couple of 1000’s and whilst they’re meant to be be basically the same machine under the hood i feel the 2500 sounds a little better. there’s a bit more presence and air to the samples i always found the 1000 to be a little boxy, if more portable, but maybe that’s just me. the pads however are way better.

this one comes with a hard drive, 80gigs ( i will double check this) and it’s in really good condition with no marks to speak of. it’s got the original packaging and manuals too for transport. i’ll post shots of these later in week.

full disclosure the guy i bought it from had had some of the switches replaced and sold it as fully functional. he obviously didn’t use the bar advance buttons as they’re a bit non responsive. i don’t tend to use them either so it’s it been a problem for me but none the less it’s important to declare this. also there’s some paint wear on the jog shell but it’s still super responsive and clicky.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
