“It has Black new style pads, black button set including the newer jog wheel. It has a Blue screen and has the custom blue LEDS to go with it.
All buttons have been refurbished so all buttons and pads feel like new. No dead or hard to press buttons. I’ve owned several mpc 1000s and almost all of them have Hadd problems with buttons. This has not.
It includes 128mb memory expansion and also includes the paid version of JJOS(jjos xl 2 and also os 3 can be installed).
The condition is very good, but has a few bits of paint missing from the front and a few scuffs. See pictures for details.

“This Z8 comes from a smoke-free home studio and is in fine working order. This has 272MB of sample RAM, 76GB hard drive, IB48P output expansion, original 5ft cable for the detachable faceplate and manual. All buttons and encoders respond as they should and the screen is fine, no dead pixels. This is basically a rackmount version of the MPC 4000 minus the sequencer. I actually have another one that’s been sitting underneath my 4000 for years. These are such a powerhouse. 24-bit, 96kHz! “Used akai s3000xl a surprise find from storage this weekend. Has been fully tested and is functional tho the backlight and floppy drive are shot however they can be easily upgraded with the many modern upgrade alternatives (flash drive floppy emulator, colored screens etc.) tact switches on bottom right are pretty banged up and should be replaced eventually tho they are still functional. Using a scsi hard disk will get around the floppy disk as an alternative.
