” This is an Akai MPC 1000. I paid $579 to a dealer (Perfect Circuit Audio in Burbank CA) when I bought it to make sure I got a high serial number BK (the final revision with all the incremental design improvements) in great, 100% functional condition . The way things turned out, I have used it for maybe 6 hours total since I got it, so it is still in great condition. The only flaw I can see is that the screen has a smudges and such that are 100% invisible when the unit is on and the screen is thus back-lit (this flaw was mentioned by Perfect Circuit when I bought it).
Comes with the originally included Akai 128MB CF card, a USB cable for your convenience, and a 3 ft IEC power cable (I don’t know if it’s original as I bought the MPC used, but it works- the unit takes a standard C13 IEC power cable.
