Akai ASQ10

“Akai ASQ10 Roger Linn Sequencer.

One of the best hardware sequencers ever built and even more so considering it was released in 1988. In pretty good condition despite it being over 30 years old.

Built like a tank and it is one of Roger Linn’s signature machines, the others being the MPC60, MPC60II and the MPC3000.

This is an MPC60 without the pads or sampling engine. It has that ‘groove’ that is difficult to recreate using modern DAW’s or hardware sequencers.

Way ahead of the competition and for its time.

2 merged MIDI ins, 4 MIDI outs, MTC, MIDI Clock, SMPTE.

It can be used as a solid MIDI clock source when slaved by SMPTE to your DAW. This is how I was using it and it is basically how the ERM Multiclock works.” Click here to visit listing on eBay
